MORE NEWS.

I have another gig type thing! the organizer of the funday/festival thing emailed my mum earlier, asking her to ask me if I wanted to perform something christmassy at the YMCA. the whole thing is free. It's in Kingston. People should come. Just msn me ( Brooklynmay@live.com ) and I'll give ya deets closer to the time.

So yeah. Things, I guess, are kinda exploding. Maybe, this time next year, I could be proper singing or something. I mean, if anything, that'd be amazing. I'm not the BEST singer ever. In fact, imho, I don't think I'm that good. My friend is fucking amazing, and she's not famous yet. I don't like this fact. but, hey.

I'm proper excited, man. I'm ecstatic.

Before I go,

cover up. I finally decided to cover Breakeven, by the Script. It's a litttttle dodge, because it was late at night, but I had to put it up. <3

Breakeven <3

Peace & love. <3

I kinda forgot about this...

okay. Apologies. I totally forgot about this. I think I kinda lost interest a bit, so I'm gonna mix this thing up a bit. I'll write a bit about random music, then write about music that I'M doing myself. :3

The song I reeeeaally want to write about is Kids Undercover, by Hello Hollywood. It is one of the best songs I have heard in a while. It's like, a rock-y kinda pop song. Think Paramore, mixed with... I dunno, something like, Miley Cyrus.

Only better. Miley Cyrus annoys me.

The song's kinda old, granted, but still worth a good ol' listen to. ;]

AND NOW FOR MY MUSIC. ;D

Uhm, so, my mum works at one of the YMCA centers, and I happen to have a job there for two weeks. (Some program. It's awesome. )

And on Sunday, they're throwing this festival thing, and after eavesdropping on a conversation (;D) between my mum and the woman who's organizing the festival, I found out they needed musicians. Now, I've been trying for AGES to get into this, and I thought this'd be an amazing chance to try and get out more. So, I scraped into their little conversation, and said I'd do it. FOR FREE, MAN, FOR FREE. Should be good. (:

I NEED SONG IDEAS.

I'm thinking, something by SHontelle, maybe Paramore? (: IDEAS, COMMENT, GO. <3

OMG - Usher

Okay. I don't even know where to start with this song. (Oh, I thought, I'd mix it up. One day, good song, one day bad, etc etc. So, today is gonna be a song I cannot stand.

Okay. I don't even know how this got into the charts. USHER, YOU HAVE JUST LOST ANY RESPECT I EVER HAD FOR YOU. Guys, you know why this song is annoying.

oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh MY GOSH. Really? And 'honey got some boobies like wow, oh wow.

Usher, how fucking old are you? That is something I'd expect to come out of a four year olds mouth. Or worse, Justin Bieber. Eugh. Dear God.

Okay, I admit. It's catchy. But the lyrics itself have no depth whatsoever. Most songs don't, granted, but they have at least a bit more effort. I really hate slating, but I'm sorry, Usher. No. Just... no.

OKAY THIS IS PROLLY GONNA FAIL.

So, I've changed my mind. I will post here. Simply because, I love blogging. This one, however, will simply be about music I LOOOOVE. And, if you want me to listen to a song YOU love, and rate it, whateverrrr, just send me an email - brooklynmay@live.com - or comment, and I'll feature it, crediting you. OKAY GO.

For my first song, I'm gonna write about a song that's been my favourite for a longlonglong time. Okay, it's called Gettin' Over You.

It's by David Guetta, Chris Willis, Fergie, and LMFAO. I will admit, I loooove this song, so much. Chris Willis is AMAZING. <3

But, imo, LMFAO kinda ruin it. It woulda been better if there were actual thought out verses, and it was just Fergie and Chris Willis. The first bit, with just them two singing, is so awesome, but my friend pointed out that LMFAO kinda kill it a bit, and I'm sorry to say, I have to agree. The bass, and clubby kinda feel to it though is amazing. Every time I hear that damn song, I have no choice but to get up, dance, sing whatever. and fuck me, the bass. It's awesome.

All in all, it's an amazing song. The actual music, the lyrics, and David Guetta himself is rather sweet. ;) But, LMFAO should've done something a bit more... better, so to say.

9/10, fo' sho, man. Fo' sho'.
